My recent trip to Taipei allowed me to meet the new Pokemon Center in Taiwan.
Location:
At the heart of the shopping district near Taipei 101. The Pokemon Center is surrounded by other popular and luxury brands.
Address: 110202, Taiwan, Taipei City, Xinyi District, Songshou Rd, 110號 11號 新光三越台北信義新天地A11 3F (Honestly, you can search in your maps app ‘Pokemon Center Taipei’ and it should show you the way)
What do you need to know before going?
1. If you’re a big Pokemon fan and this will be the first time that you are going to a Pokemon Center, I would suggest that you prepare your finances well. Chances are you’ll be throwing a lot of money in the store. I mean I’ve been to several Pokemon stores already and I still threw a lot of money during my visit here.
2. They will be selling every bit of the current products related to the game. Nintendo Switch Games, Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Go Plus+, Plushies, Bags, Clothes, Stickers, Stationaries, Figures, Playmats, etc. Whatever your niche is with the franchise, they are offering something for you.
*Current means the latest products. They don’t sell old stocks, so if you’re looking for that old 3DS game or TCG set, you won’t find those here.
3. Don’t forget to check out the exclusives. Each PC has its own exclusive merchandise. Get a badge or a plushie. Something that you have that is proof that you got it specifically at this store.
4. The Nintendo Switch games are in Chinese. Or at least the packaging is in Chinese. Once you log in to the game it will ask for your preferred language anyway. This is just something that you might want to take note of if you are planning to buy that next game on this PC.
5. Enjoy the ambiance, the music, everything. Don’t be too shy to be an adult inside a PC because it’s unlikely that you are the only adult there. You’ll be surrounded by fellow adults, but are kids at heart. Buying merchandise for themselves, or for their kids, or both.
6. They accept credit cards. Heh. You’re welcome!
There’s nothing much to say here. If you’re a fan of the franchise, this is worth your time. I’ll definitely go back here on my next trip to Taipei.
For now, I’ll flood you with some pictures from inside the place.
Thank you for reading!
